Welcome to Past Connections!
In today's educational environment, it can be difficult to find students quality learning experiences that help them connect to the past and make their history lessons “real”.
PAST CONNECTIONS provides an opportunity for your class to visit with someone “from the past” with whom they can interact, ask questions of, and learn about the daily life, culture and activities of the common person as well as the effect of major historical events on those who lived in the mid 18th and pre-Civil War 19th centuries.
We provide a number of programs which help meet the GA Performance Standards for Social Studies in grades K – 12, while also entertaining and involving your students in the learning process. These programs can be tailored to the interests and needs of your class and curriculum, and if there is another topic you wish to present to your students, we are happy to work with you to construct a program to fulfill your purposes. The cost for this “in-school field trip” is quite reasonable, and the benefits for your students are immeasurable.
We invite you to learn more about Past Connections, and the programs we offer by using the links below. If we can answer any questions for you, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to discussing the possibilities available with this unique approach to learning, and in helping make history real for your students.
